No, silly! There is no money or expensive merchandise contained in caches, nor is there any monetary prize given for geocaching. Some caches, however, have been known to contain a First to Find (FTF) prize of a twoonie ($2), but that is rare.
In its essence, Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting adventure that will either get you out enjoying mother nature or take you to places you have never been before. A popular geocaching T-shirt gives one take on geocaching. It reads “I use multi-million dollar satellites to find tupperware in the woods.”
