About Us

What is Caching Heaven?

Caching Heaven is simply our attempt to start sharing our thoughts and experiences in the world of Geocaching. Geocaching has really blessed our lives and, after finding our 1000th cache, we decided to start giving back. Our intention is to use this blog to, not only, share our geocaching experiences but also helpful advice in the different aspects of geocaching. Don’t get us wrong, we do not claim to be experts in geocaching. We are far from that. We do, however, have things we want to share. We hope you enjoy our blog posts and we hope you also take time to check out other geocaching blogs which we have included as links.

Who are we?

In the geocaching world, we are known as Jewel&Gem. In real life, we are known as Frank (Jewel) and Denise (Gem). In actual fact, we are two forty-something, Christian parents of three, who never used to have too much in common, until we discovered Geocaching. Now, we love the activity as it gets us out doing something together and enjoying it. Only one of our three boys partakes in the sport. His Geocaching name is tinyseeker and sometimes accompanies us on our geocaching adventures. As a fellow geocacher once said, 2AM is prime time for us, meaning that we love going for FTFs late at night. We have been caching since April, 2010 and have loved every minute of it. We live our lives always to bring honor to our great God, even through geocaching.
